Could do better...
Really enjoyed playing this. Overall the game is well thought out but the pacing is a little slow.
The airframe choices and customizable weapons however add some depth and replayability to the game, but the game play itself needs to be worked on to merit a second playthrough.
The main thing that you could probably improve one is probably the frequency at which enemy "waves" appear. There's some sort of pause between the waves which I feel is a bit too long. I also noticed, that while the "bomb" (burst mode) is activated it also prevents the next wave of enemies from spawning, which results in the bomb being wasted.
The core of any danmaku shooter is the endless bullet curtains which typically fill the entire screen but in this case, the enemies appear so infrequently they usually get destroyed before they even have a chance to attack the player.

solutions
For level 37 (I.e when you have 37 hearts remaining)
Use the lone explosive box on the top platform. Push it down and to the right against the wall. Stand underneath the safe and shoot the explosive box, it will propel the steel safe on the right hand side and toggle the switch.

Get to the top. Don't push any safes until you get the gun. Once you have it, push the top safe down the bottom and onto the switch. Push the second one onto the red pressure plate on the floor. Skip the third box. Then to kill yourself you'll have to shoot the wooden block holding up the steel safe on your way down, which will require some reflexes.

Fancypants. FTW!
Love this game. I like the little details you've put in, like how you can rave by repeatedly tapping down. It's the little things that make this game awesome. It plays alot like Sonic, but IMO much better.
It's also one of those games that have to be played on a joypad..(thats where xpadder comes in!).
Very nice. Keep up the good work.

Short and sweet
The animation was very good, the artwork was also outstanding.
But the lack of story and the short length left me wanting more.
Very well done, I hope there is a sequel!

Suh-weet
That was slick... its like Gunslinger Girl meets Madness Apotheosis. Best of 2 worlds!
Great job, any chance of a sequel or game?

That was EPIC
The only let down seems to be the fighting choreography, as other reviewers have said. I'd give it a ten otherwise, but GREAT WORK!
